Seeking an Autumnal Equinox Ritual?
Today, September 22nd, is the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. This is when earth’s day and night are of equal length, resulting in 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night in every part of the earth. Those who follow the Witches’ Wheel of the Year celebrate the pagan harvest festival of Mabon. Everyone else calls it the first day of Fall.
In the Southern Hemisphere, people are experiencing the Spring Equinox, celebrating Ostara, and welcoming Spring.
It’s also the first day of Libra Season – shout out to the Libras everywhere!!
Many of us are making a transition from the air, heat and light of spring and summer to the darker and colder months of Fall and Winter. But wherever you live, the day of the Equinox represents a turning point from one season to another.
As the hours of light and dark come into balance, this is a good time to take a pause.
This is a time for reflecting upon the lessons received, before making new plans.
By the way, we’re already in the shadow period of Mercury Retrograde, which officially begins September 27, and ends October 17th. So this is the perfect time to rest and review, in order to get solid perspective on your next steps.
Autumnal Equinox Ritual: The Turning Point Tarot Spread
