Are you having a spiritual disconnect? Now that some of us are winding down from “Hot Witch Summer”, I’ve been hearing from some of you who are feeling disconnected from your magick.
Perhaps your morning routine hasn’t been consistent, or you haven’t tended to your ancestor altar in a while. Maybe you haven’t done any rituals, or even taken a spiritual bath in months. Or you may have been going through something personally that has distracted you from your path.

I just wanted to remind you not to be too hard on yourself. Just like the moon, our magickal practices can wax and wane.
This month I’ve been focused on astrology, and the celestial cycles in the heavens. Whether or not you are paying attention to what’s going on in the sky, you can pay attention to what is going on within you.
You are an entire Universe: your body, mind, and spirit.
Your personal Universe naturally goes through changes. Some of these changes are seasonal, such as stress related to getting kids ready to return to school, or winter depression due to less sunlight. Other changes are emotional, such as relationship struggles and/or financial issues. Sometimes, you just feel bored, and don’t feel like doing anything. Any of these situations can lead to a spiritual disconnect.
Social media can sometimes inspire guilt about our lack of practice, especially after seeing gorgeous altars or magickal posts by others.
Spiritual Disconnection Tips
What’s most important to remember is that you do not have to do a damn thing in order to be spiritual or magickal. Because you already are.
What goes around, always comes around, and this, too, shall pass.
If you feel the need to reconnect with the Universe, just pay attention to Nature.
Each Day goes from morning to night. It’s a rinse and repeat process that happens every 24 hours.
Every month, the Moon starts a cycle in darkness, grows to fullness, and then retreats back to darkness.
Seasons range from barren Winter, to blossoming Spring, to fertile Summer, to crisp and cool Fall, and then starts all over again.
This is because life is a never-ending cycle.
If you feel like you are in a period of Winter right now, remember that Spring will eventually return.
So will your spiritual practice.
I’m rooting for you.
Love,
Aunt Carla
Thank you for this post. I’ve been doing research and even doing my daily tarot when I don’t feel like it and I’ve felt like an imposter for forgetting to do visualization in the shower, bless my food before eating, stir in my intentions to my coffee in the morning and even doing spells I just feel so guilty for not doing.
I guess like with everything we get to a blah point. It’s just mine has been going for a year. Not sure if it’s the chronic pain or the chronic mental illness either. Maybe I should check out therapy. Anything to feel connected again would be helpful and so was this post. So again, thank you.
Hi Asteria! I’m happy that this blog posts was helpful. Sometimes we’re just not feeling magickal, and it’s okay! We all go through ebb and flow periods, but it might help to remember that magick isn’t something you do, but who you are. Sending you hugs and blessings!
